Professional Narrative

From a Broad IT Foundation to Network Engineering

A dedicated journey of technical curiosity, hands-on learning, and deliberate specialization in communication infrastructure.

My Bachelor of Science in Information Technology provided a broad foundation across the IT field. Through my educational journey and practical exposure to software development, website maintenance, and technical support, I developed a profound appreciation for the underlying infrastructure that enables modern digital services.

Modern IT systems depend on much more than applications and user interfaces. They rely fundamentally on reliable networks, secure communication protocols, efficient routing, high-performance wireless connectivity, cloud infrastructure, and resilient data centers.

My decision to specialize in networking and telecommunications is a deliberate career-development step. Rather than remaining broadly focused across multiple areas of IT, I want to build deeper technical competence in a defined, critical engineering field.

The MSc program at the University of Ghana is an invaluable opportunity to strengthen my theoretical understanding, develop practical networking knowledge, explore advanced telecommunications systems, and work toward a professional network engineering career.

AI-Driven Network Intrusion Detection for Telecommunication Networks

Solving the research problem of AI-Driven Network Intrusion Detection for Telecommunication Networks entails designing, implementing, and validating an intelligent system capable of identifying malicious activities within modern telecom infrastructures (like 5G/6G networks, IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), or Software-Defined Networks (SDN)). Unlike standard IT networks, telecom networks handle massive data volumes, diverse protocols, and strict low-latency requirements, making intrusion detection highly complex.
